AGES/GRADES: Males and females ages 5-22 in grades K-12 in a 5 day per week, 10 month per year program; summer programs available.
THERAPEUTIC SERVICES: Located on the grounds of the Brattleboro Retreat, the school is an independent VT-accredited school, serving students across the continuum of care at the Brattleboro Retreat (child and adolescent residential treatment programs, child and adolescent inpatient/acute care programs, and the BRIDGES therapeutic day school program). Typical student-teacher ratio is one teacher and one aide for every 8 students which allows for highly individualized educational support. Curriculum meets the educational, clinical and behavioral needs of the students and the requirements of Vermont’s educational standards.
THERAPEUTIC ORIENTATION: Daily communication between Meadows staff and the student’s program unit helps to integrate academics with clinical and behavioral treatment.
POPULATION SERVED: Students with a complex mix of learning, mental health, developmental, and behavioral needs.
LICENSURE: Licensed by State of VT Dept. of Education for General and Special Education Independent School Approval.
