ADMISSIONS: 24/7 intakes, 617-645-2270.
AGES/GRADES: Ages 4-12 in ungraded 7 day a week, 12 month a year program.
THERAPEUTIC SERVICES: Hospital diversion/community-based acute residential treatment program. Intensive individual, family and group therapy; therapeutic milieu; on site educational support services.
THERAPEUTIC ORIENTATION: Strength-based, goal-oriented, solution-focused, evidence-based program with purpose of developing a long-lasting understanding of the cognitive, behavioral, and emotional functioning of the child with an appreciation of their developmental level and the interpersonal environment in which they live.
POPULATION SERVED: Challenging children with emotional and behavioral issues as well as PDD and/or cognitive limitations.

COMMENTS: Referrals come from local crisis services and inpatient units. Occasionally single case agreements are made with local schools and/or private insurance or other agencies. STARR services are purchased by DSS.
