Community Based Acute Treatment

ADMISSIONS: 24/7 intakes, 617-645-2270.

AGES/GRADES: Ages 4-12 in ungraded 7 day a week, 12 month a year program.

THERAPEUTIC SERVICES: Hospital diversion/community-based acute residential treatment program. Intensive individual, family, and group therapy; therapeutic milieu; OT; sensory integration; medication management; expressive art therapy; nursing; psychoeducation; on site educational support services.

THERAPEUTIC ORIENTATION: Strength-based, goal-oriented, solution-focused, family-focused, evidence-based program with purpose of developing a long-lasting understanding of the cognitive, behavioral, and emotional functioning of the child with an appreciation of their developmental level and the interpersonal environment in which they live. Utilize the Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) trauma informed care framework. Have clinicians trained in a variety of modalities. Tailor treatment to the individual and try to provide community reintegration and increased independence and skills.

POPULATION SERVED: Range of complex diagnoses; children with emotional, learning, and behavioral issues as well as autism spectrum and/or cognitive limitations.

COMMENTS: Referrals come from local crisis services and inpatient units. Occasionally single case agreements are made with local schools and/or private insurance or other agencies. Agency has many programs available upon discharge to reduce recidivism including outpatient, in home, day school, and out of school time programs. Licensed by Dept of Early Education and Care.

Community Residential Programs

ADMISSIONS: 617-524-3116, ext. 308.

AGES/GRADES: Males and females ages 4-12 in 7 day a week, 12 month a year program.

THERAPEUTIC SERVICES: Intensive Group Home, Follow Along at discharge, residential and day school as well as after school and school vacation programs. Individual, family, and group therapy; therapeutic milieu; OT; sensory integration; medication administration; nursing; psychoeducation.

THERAPEUTIC ORIENTATION: Strength-based, goal-oriented, solution-focused, family-focused evidence-based program with purpose of developing a long-lasting understanding of the cognitive, behavioral, and emotional functioning of the child with an appreciation of their developmental level and the interpersonal environment in which they live. AGES/GRADES: Males and females ages 5-13 in 7 day a week, 12 month a year program.

THERAPEUTIC SERVICES: Intensive Group Home, Follow Along at discharge.

THERAPEUTIC ORIENTATION: Strength-based, goal-oriented, solution-focused, family-focused evidence-based program with purpose of developing a long-lasting understanding of the cognitive, behavioral, and emotional functioning of the child with an appreciation of their developmental level and a focus on community reintegration and disruption prevention. Utilize the Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) trauma informed care framework. Have clinicians trained in a variety of modalities. Tailor treatment to the individual and try to increase independence and skills.

POPULATION SERVED: Severe behavioral and emotional issues.

Clinical and pharmacological services are provided on site. Children attend public school in the Freetown/Lakeville Regional School District.
