AGES/GRADES: Males ages 12-17 in grades 7-12 in a 7 day per week, 12 month per year program.
THERAPEUTIC SERVICES: Individual, group and family services; individual psychological and psychiatric consultation available as determined by treatment plan; flexibility of access to off-site counseling services by licensed practitioners.
THERAPEUTIC ORIENTATION: Program uses a strength-based approach within a wilderness setting as part of the rehabilitative and educational process. Challenging and enriching activities foster the rehabilitative and educational process because involved and interested students are responsive students. Every activity becomes a learning experience with natural consequences.
POPULATION SERVED: Serving clients with a broad range of behavioral, emotional and academic needs.
LICENSURE: Approved independent school with a special education endorsement by the VT Dept. of Education.
COMMENTS: Combines strong treatment component in an open accepting environment with an activity-rich schedule that holds the youth’s interest.
