AGES/GRADES: Ages 3-22 in a 365-or 304-day Residential Program or a 217-day Day Program.
THERAPEUTIC SERVICES: Clinical psychologist; speech and language pathologists; occupational therapist; consulting physical therapist, pediatrics and neurologists.
THERAPEUTIC ORIENTATION: The school’s philosophy is based upon the acclaimed tenets of Daily Life Therapy® developed by the late Dr. Kiyo Kitahara of Tokyo, Japan. The major tenets include the use of vigorous physical exercise to release endorphins which are natural inhibitors of anxiety; the establishment of emotional stability; and stimulation of the intellect by providing instruction in the areas of language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, and computer technology. Group education aims for the development of the individuality of each child within the group, helping the child become self-reliant.
