ADMISSIONS: 24 hours, 7 days a week, 800-333-0338.

CHILD/ADOLESCENT: Adolescent residential treatment and partial hospital programs located at McLean Hospital, and McLean SouthEast in Middleborough. Child/adolescent inpatient unit located at Franciscan Children’s, Brighton.

ADULT: 18 years and up, on locked units, totaling 166 beds in Belmont. In addition, 30 beds at McLean Hospital SouthEast in Middleborough. Observation, residential and continuing care beds also available.

GERIATRIC: 36 beds for psychiatric and dementia (Alzheimer’s) patients and enhanced outpatient program.

ADDICTIONS: For substance abuse, 18 years and up on 17-bed locked unit; also 6 acute residential beds in unlocked wing. In addition, 30 residential beds and partial hospital program available at the McLean Ambulatory Treatment Center at Naukeag in Ashburnham; 9 self-pay residential beds at the McLean Fernside in Princeton; and, 8 self pay residential beds at the McLean Borden Cottage in Camden, Maine. McLean Landing, in Belmont, is a six week dual diagnosis residential treatment program combining intensive and transitional programming for adolescents and young adults through age 19.

BORDERLINE PERSONALITY DISORDER:  McLean Gunderson is a self-pay residential program with a minimum 60-day length of stay for women with BPD. Treatment integrates a number of evidence-based practices, including mentalization-based therapy and other skills-based approaches, such as cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and psychoeducation. McLean 3East is a highly specialized, self-pay treatment program for females ages 13-20 who are exhibiting self-endangering behaviors and emerging borderline personality traits that may present as depression, anxiety, impulsivity, eating disorders, substance use disorder, PTSD or self-injury. McLean 3East offers intensive residential, residential step-down and (co-ed) partial hospital services.

EATING DISORDERS: Residential and partial hospital services for females age 16-26 at the  McLean Klarman Eating Disorders Center.

SCHIZOPHRENIA AND BIPOLAR DISORDERS: 18 years and up on two locked units (21 beds each, 42 total).

DISSOCIATIVE DISORDERS/TRAUMA: 18 years and up on 21-bed locked unit. In addition there are 13 residential beds at McLean Hill Center for Women offering acute residential services and partial hospital for trauma and related disorders.

PARTIAL HOSPITAL/OUTPATIENT TREATMENT: Partial hospitalization/outpatient services are available for adults and adolescents with psychiatric illness as well as specialty programs in OCD and BPD, geriatrics, dissociative disorders/trauma and addictions.

COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAMS: Waverley Place is a comprehensive community-based rehabilitation treatment program for adults with chronic psychiatric illness. Program coordinates an array of mental health and non-mental health services, customized for each person, ranging from housing to education to employment to wellness programs.

SPECIALTIES: Alcohol, drug abuse/dual diagnosis; Alzheimer’s, geriatric; bipolar; borderline personality disorder; child and adolescent psychiatric disorders; schizophrenia; depression, anxiety; dissociative disorders and trauma; eating disorders; OCD; women’s mental health; internal medicine, neurology; crisis stabilization and triage; self-pay (Pavilion) evaluation service; continuing care residences; accredited high school; school for children with neurointegrative disorders; and a patient fitness center.

INSURANCE: Most HMOs, Medicare, Massachusetts Medicaid, BC and many managed care payers.
